INDISPENSABLE
My favorite time of the day is reading time. Reading has become my indispensable habit. I do not read a day, that day I will feel “uncomfortable” to lack something, cannot describe.
When I was a child, my family was very poor, with a lot of siblings and I was the youngest child in the family. The rice was not enough to eat, so having a book to read is too far-fetched for me.
Every time my parents and siblings give a few pennies with little thought, I run up to the bookstore and rent a book to read right away.
After renting the book I find a quiet corner or a tree stump and I will sit there all day without caring about anything in life, no need to eat, no drink… It was not until I finished reading the book that I realized I was hungry and very thirsty and rushed to the house to find food.
My childhood is like that, there are a lot of emotions when remembering the past days, bust and warmth.
There are tiring times, still wishing once back to childhood, feeling peaceful.
I remember the author’s quote ~ Agatha Christie ~ “One of the luckiest things that can happen in your life is having a happy childhood.”
